Yes good points, it is always a risk. It's also good to mention, even though a used BMW will cost a few grand a year in repairs, most of the time you can get by without doing them right away. Offers a lot of flexibility, especially if you can work from home or travel for work. The car payment however is due every month!

Im amazed how little it actually cost to keep a bmw on the road. I own about everything brand wise or have a one time or the other and my bmw's are the cheapest to keep going.

The 2005 X5 clocks up 110 miles a day since my wife drives that one to work. Brakes and tires is all it has cost so far. It has around 300k miles on it now (havent checked lately so not positive how many miles it has).

I will be replacing the control arms on it soon as it rattles on bad bumps but again its been super reliable.

The 2001 turned out to be a great buy too. I but that X5 for a junk vehicle to go offroad and it ended up being a sport model fully loaded and super dependable too. So it hasnt see any offroading to speak of.

The 2013 is a garage queen since I dont drive much anymore

Everyones doing great !

I have cataract surgery a week from today which is going to be interesting.

I got a tooth infection that they prescribed an antibiotic for which I finished taking a few days ago and now Im having an allergic reaction to it so I look like I have the mumps right now and itching like mad. I hope thats over with by the time they go to do surgery. Its going to be hard holding still while they operated on my eye and itching like mad from this reaction Im having from the antibiotics.

Ive got to call the eye doctor monday to find out if I should use the special antibiotic eye drops they want me to take starting 3 days before the surgery after having this reaction to the other antibiotic.

Fun fun

Hope everything goes well. I need to go to the eye doctor myself or I'll just have to settle with looking rakish with an eye patch...
I'm glad to see you back and that the family is doing great!!

On a side note... I installed Mywifitv on the head unit and now have 6661 channels of live TV in the X for $25 USD per month, but now have to fight chrome wanting to start all by itself so that my get tossed out.

I miss being able to add android stuff to the E70 since its the factory radio.

The Android setup I did in the E53 the wife drives now was a blast. The digital tv thing I added to the E53 never picked up worth a flip but neither do tv sets being so rural here.

The paint is and it hasn't gotten about 47c all year and once I fix this weeks disaster... took a curve too hard and killed the air valves on the drivers side and broke the bead on the inside RR
I will do paint correction or strip it down and paint it with aircraft white paint when the Prince has his 737 out of the country and my schedule lets me drive to Kharj I am ready to stab someone just to get some bacon!

Stay safe and good luck next week!!
