syphon o ring

Hi
can some body clear some thing up for me.
Is it the left tank that has the bad O ring.
Also when i am driving i can hear the fuel pump buzzing.
Well its starts buzzing after about ten mins.
I have removed the unit in the left tank and where i think the
O ring is has a black plastic unit not the white i have seen in
most pictures.

Was wondering if this is after market.
I cant check on the display as most of the pixels are dead.
