Christmas is here

Santa forgot to hide this, and I had to sneak a peek..

Almost like someone was listening when I said "wish I had bought that timing tool"

You have to love Santa, he always knows what a car guy wants. Happens at my home too every year, parts, tools, cleaning products. It is like we brought them ourselves...

Separate credit cards or cash solves that issue!

What's the big arm with the circle? Mount to crank to remove Jesus bolt? (Are you allowed to call it that where you are?)

Back to the Jesus bolt. It's right ha s thread and the motor turns as to remove, I've seen videos where you just set up the breaker bar to hit into something solid like the garage floor and crank the starter (start disabled with no fuel: I would starve the engine of gas before doing such a job if it was still operable: very nice to have a depressurized fuel system).

I made my own crank holder from angle iron. It took about 700 ft·lb to remove the crank bolt on the M62s I worked on.

It's for holding the camshaft pulley as you do your timing and setup TDC.

Saying Jesus over here isn't an issue.

Test #1: Yell JC in the middle of a mall and you get funny looks.

Test #2: Yell Allah Akhbar in a mall and get surrounded by cops...

And also the main bolt that holds the engine together and saves the engine as well. Fitting to name the bolt after He who saves us :-) (though I think the nickname came from the name sake cuss words evoked when trying to remove the bolt)
