Mirror puddle lamp bulbs

I'm looking for the bulb used in the 4.6is power folding side mirrors. They turn on when entering and exiting the vehicle. I have one side burnt out, but I want to replace both. Anyone have an idea ? I would rather not have to take them apart to find out, and then wait to order and then take it apart a second time.

The light housing looks very similar to the side markers. I am only taking a guess but if I were in your position I would get some of those bulbs and roll the dice.

T10 bulb is the right one to go for.

Lookss like it's this little fella - a 12v 6W wedge....

Typically, the generic parts are all 12v 5w - it seems BMW choose an oddball lamp at 6W.

Dang, these thread notifications didn't work for me.
Took it apart and it's indeed a special 6 watt bulb with the identical base as the more common 194 bulb. I performed a comparison test with a standard bulb with the OEM, and there's indeed a noticeable difference in brightness output with 1 watt more.
The issue for me was the bulb socket contacts were loose, so I squeezed them together with some fine needle-nose pliers and was able to re-use the bulb.
