E53 obsessed “starter pack”?

>>> 1 day
>>> 590mi driven
>>> 3 different states
>>> One full tank of diesel (13gal)

Items acquired:

* Alpina wheels in decent shape with 90% of tread w/ center caps

* Like new BMW car cover (e53 specific)

* BRAND NEW Eibach sway bars for e53 (which I did not know existed)

...felt like a very satisfying drive in my 2004 Jetta TDI.

My ONLY concern is...from very limited info on these sway bars, how concerned should I be thinking that I would fit them onto my 2006 4.8is when the specs show they are for 3.0i, 3.0d, 4.4i, & 4.6is??? I’m hoping that they were designed and sold prior to ‘05 and would be forward compatible otherwise? Anyone have experience with these SUPER HEAVY SWAY BARS???

P.S. the wheels ARE authentic and rare, but the chrome is bubbled/peeling some. Before I were to get them stripped or blasted, or power-coated, or re-chromed...I would consider offers to pass them along to someone else. I’ve got a few other costs right now and REALLY did not expect these to find me! Ha!

just install the sway bars... if you don't want them, let me buy them off of you.

I've had my Eibach sways on both my '04 3.0 and my '04 4.8. I think it was ten or 11 years ago now. They work well.

I reviewed them on the E53 here

99/100 times I would definitely agree with this. However, I had only ever seen these in chrome leading me to assume that they are factory chrome. Now searching online...I see them in hypersilver and black. I do believe that the chrome is original on this set...but not forever! Ha!

+1 Especially on an X5 and in 21" like these- They look a little too baller for my tastes.

Those wheels are gorgeous in silver. Those need stripping and paint. Nice wheels.

Great finds! i have the eibach swaybars on my 3.0i. They will work fine on all E53's, and really tighten up the suspension and body roll.

I am interested in the wheels. Can you PM me what you were looking for shipped to 06111?

Hey! You're in La Vista. I work in La Vista and live next door in Bellevue.

I am also recently obsessed with E53's. Constantly scanning FB marketplace and craigslist looking and U-pull-it for X5 parts.

Post a pic of your X5 with the wheels on.
