Question Ideal mounting point for phone mount

Hi all, I was thinking of using the mount with the suction cup adhesive type but then I was wondering if this will affect the inner coating of the window. Where do you think is the best place. I adjust the dash vents all the time.

What do you plan on doing with the phone, once mounted? GPS/mapping, emails, actually using it with the screen OR just a place to hold your phone?

In Australia we are no longer aloud to use phone in hand while driving..big fines..I agree. I have a iphone 8 plus. So I would like to use navigation on it, answer a call, etc. My car nav screen goes white so I cant select any options so I have a problem to fix there. In the mean time I am using my mobile phone.

Hey mate, fellow aussie here! I use the following mount (Purchased from JB Hi-Fi) above the middle AC vent: https://www.scosche.com/magicmount-pro-dash

Works great for me!
