OLD PLUGS look ok?

These are 55K old plugs from my X5,3.0 with 254K .
I removed and buffed them clean. Then after a about a hundred miles I replaced them. But they had this odd yellowish/gold coating on the prongs and part of the ceramic that encases the diode. Is this normal? Is this a sign of antifreeze leaking into combustion chamber? Curious.

It's normal for the plugs to discolor. Plugs look close to normal, a little on the rich side. Pictures don't always show true color but I would not be concerned.

Is the reason you are asking about leaking coolant because the engine is missing, you are losing coolant, or there is an indication of coolant in the oil?

The only way to inspect plugs are to view them under a magnifying lupe. Reading plugs is like reading fresh snow, the top is all you can see.

With that said, The images you provided show normal plugs that show stop and go driving cycles. If you want to properly see how plugs provide a view into engine health/performance, install a new set, take the car out for a 30-50 highway speed drive, pull over and remove one front and one rear plug and view.
On straight 6 cyl engines, you will find the plugs will show variable images of running condition based on their position in the head. front ones will run cooler and the rear plugs will run hotter due to engine wash (air flow).plug center electrodes will wear faster on the ones closer to the fire wall due to temps of the combustion chambers.
Suggestions: clean the throttle body plate, inspect the intake boots, and make sure you run a few tanks of quality gas with some injection cleaner.
Other than normal prevention steps you are good to go.
Be aware that the early X5 have short plus wires that need to be replaced every 60-80k on plug changes.
