Just a quick opinion on aligning an E53. Most shops aren’t performing this task properly. The steering angle sensor may require calibration in conjunction with an alignment.
Here is some info on what I am suggesting. https://bavarianmachine.com/tech-tip...-sensor-alert/

And, I think bcredliner can chime in on the importance of a proper alignment. I’ve read posts of his that further support this opinion.

I usually aim for -0.15 toe front and back seems to be a very ok balance of handling and tire wear though with that much front toe my fronts do hit the wear bars on the outside edge first. They may have set the front toe less agressieve from experience that wears the tires slower.
The front camber has a locking pin but can be removed so the top of the shock tower can be moved ever so slightly to even out the camber a bit. That said replacing the lower shock mount bolts with camber bolts will allow full adjustment range. The back looks very good.

So I swapped on a refinished set of style 87s with new tires. After driving it out of the shop the steering wheel is a little off to the left while driving. but was dead center previous to installing the wheels. The wheels that came off were a 20x10 square setup of OEM style 336 E71 on 275 45 20 winter tires with an offset of 40. The style 87s are the staggered 20x9.5(ET45) in front and 20x10.5(ET30) in the rear with the stock tire sizes of 275 40 20 and 315 35 20. Has anyone had this happen before because I have not and I have swapped out several different types of wheels from 16-22s on different cars I have owned over the years. Any ideas? Good thing I purchased that lifetime alignments from firestone. I scheduled an appointment on the weekend to have the check it...

I'm a bit anal retentive on alignment maybe, but I got myself one of those quick trick alignment tools. TOok my car for a drive, and noticed, "oh hey, i'm turning a little bit left OTR." Then drove into my garage with the steering wheel "straight." THen proceeded to hook up my laptop and monitor the SAS and force it to read "0" degrees. AFter that...made my MINUTE adjustments....like off by 2 or 3 milometers. It's actually pretty easy on the X as accessing the tie rod adjustments are seriously a sinch. I probably make one or two adjustments on the flats while checking toe. Boom...perfect. Then took it for another drive and noticed more "straight" steering. But that's just me. https://www.quicktrickalignment.com/.../4thgenslider/

Should I calibrate my SAS and see if that helps?

....no. That's just a sensor for stability/ABS/DSC functionality.

Yeah I figured it wouldn't do much... I scheduled an appointment this weekend for a warranty alignment check but my concern is what happens when i switch back to the winter setup? The tires appear to be even worn and all of the tire sizes are the same. I have never experienced this before. I had it aligned properly as you can see in my previous posts on this thread with the winter setup on...

Yeah maybe. Could be another worn suspension component that was over looked. Both rear axle and obviously front will have an influence of steering OTR.
