Body Shop Recommendations PNW

Hello PNW people,

I've been out of town since early March and came home from Europe to discover that someone had helped themselves to my wheel arches and tried to get the rear bumper. I had just swapped out the winter wheels for the IS wheels with wheel spacers and the truck was looking outstanding! Maybe too outstanding .Aside from all that nonsense, can any of you recommend a body shop? Bellevue/East side preferred but willing to drive if necessary.

Mahalo nui!

Oh no, sorry to hear that. It happened in Bellevue area? That's surprising, but in these hard days, the worst in us burble up anywhere. Check out Fix Auto Collision Bellevue (Bel-Red road near Discount Tires) and speak with John. He is the owner and a professional painter. He does actually himself paint vehicles in his shop. It's a big and busy shop.

By the way, what spacers do you have installed?

Thanks for the recommendation. The theft is what it is and just a car. Lame but what can you do? Spacers: Front 5 mm, rear 30 mm. The rears are now ever so slightly inside the extended wheel arches. I'll post pics once everything is back together.

That really sucks. Well, one thing for sure is it is an X5 enthusiast to know what they were after. Keep a heads-up looking for someone in your area modding a E53.

What did they end up getting? Upper rear extensions only? They would have had to tear the connections off under the running boards. When I got mine they were $250 each side and another $225 each for the lowers on the bumper.

They got the upper rear extensions and attempted to work on the passenger side part which runs to the bumper. The insurance company is replacing the bumper as well (not sure why), and good luck to them in finding one. On the driver side the managed to get the running board beauty strip that covers the running board bolts JUST under the bottom of the doors. Where the wheel arches blend into the running boards, this area is clearly jacked up as well. Lastly, they tried to get into the car and one of the door handles/mechanism needs to be replaced.
