Thanks OB! Man, I'd loved to have helped you out and myself too!

Sounds like you are sorted with Nilssonulf (Ulf?) though - good stuff!

FWIW, US$350 = NZ$572 (at today's rates) so add US postage () and 15% tax + fees at NZ 's border... I guess it would have been cheaper than direct from Avin. Bloody kind offer...

Sadly, while COVID-19 hasn't pulled the entire rug from under my livelihood (like in your case... ) it has unravelled some threads, with things like increased workload, reduced pay, re-structuring etc. so I'm not in a position to doing anything but the bare minimum required to keep vehicles on the road...

Yes, I think Nilsson is going to take it, I just have to get the X5 back up and running so I can get to the post office to arrange shipping.

I know what you mean about slashed budget. The wife and I are counting pennies at this point and selling things I really don't need. I sold my Porsche PIWIS 2 last week for $1,200 last week. The R6 is also up on the chopping block along with our baby grand piano.

WPOLL, yes the name is Ulf. Pretty hard for you to pronounce. But if you say Ulfie is esiar for u, and ok for me.
Yes, I will buy it from OB. But I can wait. No stress OB, just so you know.
It is a bargain for me since this covid-19 makes SEK Worth nothing. Yoday you have to pay 10 SEK for 1 US$. Then add 25% VAT and customs fee!
I hope you guys manage through this crazy time. Me myself are IT-Consultant so covid-19 dont bother me that much. Network and computers have to run anyway. Take care, and when u ready OB, we make the arrangements for shipping.

I am assuming your X5 is LHD? As mentioned, brand new, never installed. Including today, it has been out of the box twice. Here are a couple of pictures of it. It will be heading your way.

Yes Sir, it is a LHD. Is there any differences between LHD and RHD when it comes to Avin ??

I would guess the volume and tuning knobs are reversed but I really don't know. There is an option for RHD but I can't really say what the differences are.

One last thing to consider, since this one was a US destination the radio band may not be correct by default, you will need to adjust the settings to your frequencies for Finland. Easily done I suppose, there is not a separate device for worldwide delivery?

I wondered that too. I don't know if it would be worth the enginnering to swap the knobs - most everything else we get here is identical to LHD - except the actual steering wheel and pedal position etc!

For example, on most (Japanese etc.) cars in NZ, the left stalk is headlight, wipers etc. and the indicators etc. are on the right stalk. On Euro cars, the stalks are reversed, i.e. the indicators are on the left... I've gotten pretty good at doing the mind-swap as I jump from my BMW (LHD stalks), my daughter's VW Golf (LHD stalks) and the wife's Mazda (RHD stalks). On rare occasions, I'll pull up to an intersection in my wife's Mazda and turn on the wipers....

Manual transmission Euro cars can be a handful to drive around town, given the same hand is required for both gear shifting and operating the indicator stalk….

Some Euro cars here even still have the centre console layout from the LHD version, putting the park brake handle over next to the passenger (left) seat!!!
