Passenger Door Lock not working

SOLVED! My passenger door lock will not operate with the interior switch. All other doors operate as they should, with the switch and with the key in drivers door lock. Not sure about remote key, new one will arrive in a day or two. But I am sure it won't. After much research, figured it was the actuator. Ordered one and installed today. Same f*#N thing!! Not working! Anyone run into this where even a new actuator does not resolve the issue?? This is on a 2005 E53. Sick of reaching over and locking/unlocking manually. I just bought this rig so don't know any history.

Decided to use this amazing tool that is available to all of us to track this issue down. Just documenting this incase anyone else has an issue. https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...r-door/og6CaHU
Going to take the door window switch out of my other x5 and see if that is the issue. The schematic shows that it is connected to the door actuator. Will report back once I do the swap

I know the driver side door switch interferes with the actuator so it wouldn’t surprise me if the passenger side is the same way. The usual problem is that the window won’t roll down.
Open up your door switch and look for corrosion

So, the window switch solved the issue. Everything working as it should. So, lock issues are related to the window switches

AW, thanks for the offer. I saw your thread about that, very informative! But, I will bet that it is still good and my issue was the window switch the whole time! Plus, God help me, I have 2 other E53's so will hold on to it for future reference....

Passenger Door Lock not working

I was saying I could fix the switch not the actuator.

I have two actuators myself they need refurbishing. The last of four on wife’s car and the first one on mine.

Mine still works most of the time but maybe one of ten the passenger door won’t unlock.

Wife’s rear right door locks doesn’t unlock.

The actuator fix thread has a bonus of how to make the handle not freeze when the temp drops through freezing when the car is wet.

This is great. Who would've thought that my passenger side mirror, lock and window weren't working because I had passenger window switch (which has one single button) removed!
