IT HAS BEEN FOUND!

The X5 has been found by police, just 15 minutes from the location it got stolen from! I'm so happy!!! I realized that this is more than just a car / truck to me. A keeper for sure.

There are no big damages or stolen parts, just a part of the passenger side mirror is missing and the subwoofer with custom box got stolen.

Unfortunately my laptop with INPA and other software has not been found yet, same for the key that they took. Police is still investigating and might still find the thieves.

It has been gone for 10 days total!
We received info that the car was spotted driving to Antwerp on the 19th of August but I'm not sure if this is true now. Me and my brother did all we could and emailed as many car export companies that ship cars to Africa and checked 50 tabs of parts websites from every European country (this took about 2 hours per day, most days I checked twice)

Thanks for all the kind comments on here!

I'm so happy it's still in one piece. I think they only drove it for about 100km in total as there was about 1/4 of fuel gone. When they parked it they forgot to close the sunroof so some water came inside but it has already dried up and we cleaned the car as soon as we got it back.

Waiting on Police, hopefully they find the suspects and get my key back, untill then I can't park the car anywhere.

While we wait for that I'm going back to fixing the air suspension and Vanos / cam sensor faults, can't wait

Yaaay! Congratulations!

Excellent news!!! Really happy you recovered it.

Get the WA insurance with theft added? Or is that not offered anymore? Used to be a great option. Much cheaper than all risks and only a little more than just WA (=3rd pty liab).
