I will be selling my 4.8is sometime this year. Was planning to wait until closer to year end but might let it go sooner. We are moving/retiring in January and won’t have room or need for it.

Black Sapphire Metallic over black with sport seats. Just shy of 170k miles. Mechanically fine and properly maintained. Exterior needs clear coat respray because of some water spot pitting (like acid rain) and wheels (body color) need repaint. Would do tires while spiffing up the wheels so they don’t get handled any more than needed. Was going to do all of that before listing it but could go either way. Lexington, KY - an easy drive to ATL.

Would sell it now probably $5k minimum and if the paint is done and new tires $10-12k. Buyer must provide a story of need and love for it sufficient to convince my wife (who forms strong emotional ties to vehicles) to let it go to this good home. Story must be convincing but does not need to be true.

I'm back and forth on selling mine:
132k miles, 17 zillion records since new.
I'm thinking of doing the sacrileage of buying newer Minivan.
2 hours from Atlanta.

I was expecting anywhere from the 5-8k range (depending on miles, condition and maint, of course).

Called the guy and he wouldnt budge at all from that price.

I hate to use bad words but it's plain stupidity to install open cone style air filter right next to radiator so it can pull all that nice hot air and rob the HP.
And then people call it "Cold Air Intake".
Also, those aftermarket rear tailights kind a look cheap.

Thanks all! @bmw540san, that is a beautiful example! I would have definitely been interested, but I was able to pickup a clean example on Thursday, just before you posted. Super excited! Would take pics, but need to clean the rig up.

It is a 2006 4.8is Imola Red on cream interior with 67k on it. Was in pretty damn good condition with Valve Stems done recently along with great service records.

Thank you and congrats on your new ride!
That is awesome color and boogie man valve stems is gone.
Pics are must, lol.
I had to postpone my sale anyway after the dumb ass driver totaled my newly created 532 M:

Congrats! I had my eye on that 67k-mile Imola 4.8iS.. Very nice! The cleanest example I’ve seen available for a while. Very glad to see it found a good home!

Talk about fully sorted X5!

The only thing I'd additionaly do is the rear air suspension delete. 6 years / 25k miles on my setup and I'm still in love.

https://xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-forums/...gs-delete.html

Rear air bags are basicaly personal preference. While I agree that factory setup is great when is working, I dislike them because I could never have 6 years of trouble free operation as I have now.

I hear ya on the Air suspension delete! In fact, I got the "Self Leveling Suspension Inactive" warning on a few weeks ago, luckily it was just the 30A fuse in the trunk
