N62 Oil Catch Can

That's a lot of hoses. 2 catch cans and 4 hoses
Could just plug the 2 ports on intake manifold, and vent from valve covers under the hood.
What's the benefit of redirecting oil vapor back into air intake?
I guess the only benefit is for atmosphere sake

I've never understood the OCC fix with cars. My research has shown that it's "snake oil" for some engines and a mental fix for others (usually for Turbo engines). If they truly were this "good" for engines, then engine makers would install them.
Are these OCC a band-aid for bigger issues...seems so.

The reason is to purge the crankcase vapors to protect the engine. It requires a vacuum which is normally from the intake vacuum.
