Found it.
Not sure if this cancels the code or is a one-time start option,. I guess you're gonna find out.

Thank you Wayne! Hooked up my old stereo, came up with a 10 min timer. Had activate and deactivate as options as well as a code. Put in 0000 and selected deactivate and the car started right away. Will know tomorrow morning if it actually deactivated it. Really appreciate you!
Tested the alternator voltage and it shows 12.1 thinking this is just a battery and now alternator needs to be done. I’m literally so poor right now, laid off for Covid and haven’t found anything worthwhile. Can’t really afford a new alternator until next week and it’s like going to cut into budget. Anyway I could pull the alternator and rebuild it myself or how much would it cost in your area to have it rebuilt? This is very exciting! I, actually working on my car and fixing things thanks to all of you! This rocks. Never thought I could do this. Edit() yeah after a bit of research doesn’t make sense to try. Just purchase rebuilt from fcp seems the best option. The 120 amp from Bosch. Or should I just get the 140? Last edited by Golfknar; 09-22-2020 at 02:13 AM. |
