Temp button fell down an abyss!

The passenger red temp button popped off. The ash tray cover was open. It fell behind the cover. Did it go down into an abyss? Can I reach it by removing the ash trash? Or does the center console trim need to come off too?

Apparently you have remove the transmission and then cut a hole in the transmission tunnel from below in a certain area to remove said button. Re weld the panel in place, red paint as required, then red install the transmission. The button should now be placed back on the control panel.
That was all a joke by the way as I've had some beer..

I don't know about a joke as it was a pain in the ass to pull the entire console....

Themoog,
Have another!

Here's a Barvarian joke. Remove the ash tray!

The OEM red button falls under the ash tray when the cover is open!
