Two version of front outer CV joint bellow

Hi all! I am in the project of renewing the dust cover (the rubber bellow) for the front outside CV joint. Just checked in ETK and found that there were two version of the rubber bellow, type A and Type B with different part number. Just want to be sure that if either one is fit for all? Thx for help!

It seems that there are a couple of variations on axles on the E53 X5 - the very early cars had smaller axles than the later 29mm axles and it seems that even amoung the later 29mm axles there appears to be some slight differences. See this diagram...

only applies to version "A"
05 Repair kit bellows, exterior 2 04/2000 03/2006 1607507402

only applies to condition "B"

No idea, sorry - check which axles are on your car.

Quickest way to check would be with a micrometer. Remove the band on the boot, slide it back to reveal the shaft and measure there. If it will be a while before you do the replacement, use a few zip ties where the original metal band sealed the boot to the shaft.

Just used a micrometer to check the diameter of the axle, it showed 29.80mm, maybe some margin error for the meter, so I think my axle is 29mm version, not the earlier 27mm version.
