There are speed sensors in the trans, but not in the sense that it is relaying the speed of the car. It is used to measure the roatation of the input shaft with respect to the output shaft.

Speed sensor A signal is the one coming from left rear wheel (via ABS module) to instrument cluster (speedo) and General module.
