Easiest way to disable sunroof?

So the drivers side outer door handle carrier has broken on the X. A replacement has been ordered, but with the way logistics have been with covid, This could take days...or months to arrive. The wife needs to use the X in the mean time. I was thinking an easy way for her to get in while we wait for the outer handle carrier is just to hold the unlock button on her fob until the windows open, then she can reach in and pop the door open with the inner handle....however. The sunroof is busted and causes all sorts of problems and headaches if you try to open it. Unfortunately holding the unlock button on the fob opens the sunroof aswell as the windows. So I have to completely disable the sunroof for this to be an option.

If I were to completely unplug the sunroof control module, would it cause other issues with the car or is it likely to just ignore the fact that it can no longer communicate with the module?

Thanks In advance.

All sorted out...Just ended up pulling the fuse.

For some reason I thought the sunroof was on the same fuse as the door locks. Feel a bit silly for not actually having a look first.

Do you remember the fuse number? I have a similar issue with the roof window. FYI, the roof window opens last you have quite a lot of time to open front windows before the back then roof window opens. Moot point for you now got the fuse but will help other people. Just pay attention the roof window opens last.

Yes, the sunroof is fuse 58 in the fuse box above the glove compartment.

Thanks. My roof window has a stripoed gear and I do use the key down to vent heat out or in winter crack the windows to let the moisture out over night. Will be nice to not have to worry about accidentally opening the roof. (one time my key got stuck in the "open" position far enough the windows started coming down I just was lucky to catch it.

Yeah, this would be helpful for me too. My sunroof is on the list to fix, but I'm way over budget so it won't happen until next year. But I love using the key to roll down the windows in the summer.
