If there really is oil leak into coolant it's more likely caused by oil heat exchanger on oil filter stem than the gearbox oil heat exchanger.

When I worked at a radiator repair shop we would use pure borax soap. Wait till the engine is hot then and pre-disolved borax and restart, you can then flush it out after 10 minutes (at least 3 times)
