A5S360R/390R Mechatronic Sleeve replacement

Hi guys,

I will have to replace the mechatronic sleeve shortly as it has developed a small leak (X5 E53 2005 3.0i). Canīt seem to find a DIY on it.

Seems that I have to drop the pan / change the transmission fluid & filter. So far no problem.

Purchased already part 13 in this diagram:
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=24_0938

Honestly this part looks totally different to most of the mechatronic sleeve pictures I found topics on. Also, it seems that also 20pcs of a cable 61130007656 are needed.

Maybe I'm looking at the wrong part?

I would just like to avoid to drop the pan to find out that I'm missing some parts.

Has anyone already tackled this replacement? Any help would be appreciated!

Well I think I got it...on this model the sleeve is actually one piece with the internal wiring of the transmission.

Must be nr. 10, 24367551877

Actually it could be only the outer O-rings, that BMW seems to have discontinued for some reason. But I guess it could be also the seal of each pin in the sleeve. Should be able to narrow it down once i disconnect the plug. If it's dry inside, it's the Outer O-rings, if it's full of oil... it's one of the connectors seals.

Anyway, don't know if I'm up to just swap out the outer o-rings and then have the single connector seals fail 1 year later
