Put me down for very high interest in the X6 too. I think most, if not all, of the photos look great. I love this idea & have similar views with Steve...

The X6 is a car designed to function in precisely the way I use my E53 X5 today. BMW are developing the X5 philosophy in two directions, the X5 will be the utility biased model and the X6 will be the more performance biaised model. In theory it will provide me with all the virtues I like about the X5, without being more spacious or occupying more roadspace than I'd like.

I'm one of the first on the list and should be seeing it in early 2008.
Congrats Steve! How does it exactly work to get on the list well before production?

I went to put down a letter of intent for both the X6 and possible next M3 CSL. They were happy to take just a letter for the CSL but the X6 is a model that has been confirmed within BMW circles, so they wanted a small deposit. It seems they've been advised by BMW to take enquiries more seriously for the X6 since they want to get an idea on likely production numbers.

Wow you put an order in for a car that nobody knows anything about? Congrats anyway Steve but seriously no one even knows too much about the 2007 X5 let alone an X6. Personally I'd like to know a little more about a car before putting down any money.

The current X5 is the e53, and I think the next generation X5 is going to be the e70. Anyone know what the internal BMW designation for the X6 will be?

I spoke to the Daytona dealer today and they know nothing except that Spartanburg is only hiring blind eunichs for the assembly line...one thing I haven't seen discussed is the X6 not as a Cayenne-fighter, but as a response to the Porsche Panamera, while the 7-Series keeps tabs on the new MB550 and the longer X5 addresses the "gotta have seven seats crowd"
