New struts sugestions please

Wifes X5's front struts are shot. I was wondering what was the best to go with?

Last struts I bought were koni adjustable shocks for my 323i and love them but cant find anything from koni for her X5.

Looking for a smooth ride. She isn't into taking curves fast and such.

StephenVA is on a distinguished road
Strut - Sachs non sport
Rear shocks - Sachs non sport
Two assumptions here, non air bag front, and daily driver. With no off road aspersions of grandeur. Rear shocks are with or without bags. Obviously the front matches air or non 4 wheel air bags application.

Sachs are OE ride and will provide smooth ride guaranteed to make a happy wife. No bouncy bouncy head snaps as well.

Thats what I think I will go with. Everything points to sachs for comfort and anything else for firmer ride.

The 2001 has air on the rear but the 2005 is normal struts and shocks.

Air DEFINITELY rides better. I may convert the 2005 to air eventually.
