E53 / M54 2001 3.0i gas LHD (pair of them: his & her)

Besides the (suspected) cause of the famous Zamboni incident....

Mechanical issues...

I could get the TC gear motor to engage with the car off and it clanked loudly and while in park the White Witch would jump forward about 6".

Electrical issue...

TC wouldn't read but no guarantees it was from that, because that was the same time as the OBD2 block debacle so who knows...

DIS performs the VTG Oil Wear adaptations with ignition on but engine NOT running... not sure why the Foxwell would be different.

You can't really do this sort of work without either a grunty battery charger or power supply hooked up to the car either. the process take a while and battery voltage could fall too far in tht time...
