Bosch alternator with Valeo components?
I just bought this brand new Bosch alternator from FCP Euro:
https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...tor-x5-al9413x Super weird. Comes in a Bosch box. The black plastic casing on the back (which I can now see plainly in the image on the FCP site) says Valeo. There's a Genuine Bosch sticker on the metal alternator casing. Took off the back case and the voltage regulator and electronics are all Valeo, lol! I have no issue with this in principle, but what do you think is going on here? Is it possible these two companies have merged or something?
