https://www.quickjack.com/tl And if you're on the fence as to whether to get a 5000 or 7000, this may video showing the former lifting over 15,000 lbs might convince you that the 5000 is fine for an E53, even with the V8: (special hydraulic unit used in the video) https://youtu.be/YVZ-CcF0_MY It looks like there is a long (X) version of the 5000 series. I read they're also working on a full caster set as an option. In one post, a person linked to somebody who is selling custom made ones on Etsy for $300. https://www.etsy.com/listing/9102968...for-quick-jack Edit: In case you're wondering, the brackets are designed so their wheels come off the ground as soon as the jack starts to lift. Quite clever! Last edited by haigha; 04-17-2021 at 03:56 PM. |

A couple of things. My 7000 EXT is 1/2" from touching my opened garage door when lifted so the extra 3" really won't work for my garage but honestly, the standard with the track adapters lifts it high enough for me with an entire atmosphere under the car. Yes, I am still on my back but plenty of room for me to accomplish any task so far.

I'm curious to see how they price the new models. They already jacked up the prices on the original ones

It is a great product for the garage DIYer with limited ceiling clearance like my home. Hell, I would love a 2 or 4 post lift that I could walk under but just not possible with a room above the garage. It has been a game changer for me, I use it all the time with nothing but praise for BendPak QuickJack

One of the advantages of the QJ is the ability to throw the car in the air, wheels off in less than 10 minutes. I will do this once every 6 months just to give a thorough inspection on the cars to make sure everything is nut and bolted and a check for any leaks.

This would be so cool, especially since I have two cars to rotate between summer & winter tires on twice a year.
Sorry, do you have to supply your own air compressor to use it, or does it power itself?

OB, your posts here and on another board have helped push me towards getting one
A QJ would definitely be helpful for me.An advantage of the T series is it has three lift levels compared to the original which has two (1/2 and full). I don't know if they will be 1/3, 2/3 and full. Seems like 2/5, 3/4 and full might be more useful? In my research I found this thread with a picture of lifting an M5 with the QJ and a cut 2" x 6" x 6' when the longer QJ versions weren't available. https://www.m5board.com/threads/quic...537986&slide=0 Last edited by haigha; 04-19-2021 at 10:48 AM. |

I was looking for a new jack since my old one broke, and saw a BL-5000SLX available on craigslist in my area.
Anyone know if the 5000 will get the E53 high enough to get the wheels off the ground? Or do you need to get the 7000 version? It looks like the 7000 version only gets a maximum of about 3" higher than the 5000, from what I can learn on the website. Overboost or anybody else who has experience?

After reviewing more threads it looks like the only reason to go with the 7000 is because of weight. My X is under 4500lbs curb weight so I think it would work fine unless I have a bunch of stuff in my car.
