how to wire in feed for extra sidelights anyone no

not going to be to everyones taste but thats the joys of doing these things , so i am looking to add some extra sidelights to the rear, my logic for wiring them up was into the wiring for the towbar so i fitted the module and connected them up all is working fine apart from it now thinks i have a trailer on and because i only have just the one feed for the sidelights it keeps flagging a warning saying the rest of my trailer lights arent working , my question is is there another way to get a sidelight feed without causing any issues or warnings.

I don't know if by "sidelight" you mean a turn signal. But if you need turn signals you're going to need to get a towing module. If you splice into the turn signal circuit, it will throw an error on the dash. But with the towing module you can get a towing harness and use that wire and it won't give you any errors.

You may also be able to code the error out, I don't know.

I think you can code out the errors but also paralell wire with the normal corners should be ok I don't think there is an over current test.

just to clarify i am looking to add extra sidelights not a turn signal and yes i have added the towing module thinking i could use that but it just tells me on the dash all the lights i don't have connected via the module are not working , i don't have any means of doing any coding so suggestions for a tool to do that would be appreciated.

I'm thinking like the lights under the mirrors.

I think side lights are on the same circuit as tail lights but are white not red and are placed on the sides of large vehicles and trailer.

If you connect ANY lights to the car via a tralier module, then the trailer module will automatically monitor ALL trailer light circuits and issue warnings for circuits not drawing enough (or in this case, any) power - on the asusmption that they have failed.

To fix this you will need to either wire your addtional side lights directly to the tail light circuits in the car (not via the trailer module) or add loads to the un-used trailer module circuits to simulate correct operation of the missing lamps.
