Seems like a lot of people were on the money here with an intermittent electrical problem. My understanding (although it may be wrong) is these units were only used on the v8 models E53, E60, E65 &E63. All that said it doesn’t look like the problem you have is the same Ati, it sounds like your issue is firmly box related. Hopefully someone can point you in the right direction here |

If you do see if your gearbox registers the same position as the gearshift. The 3 failures are mechatronic gearshift dying, magnetic reed switch inside the transmission or mechatronic valve body. Not saying for sure, just a guess from issues I've had with the White Witch. Sent from my SM-A528B using Tapatalk

EGS Errors 4e86 and 4e87
The problem with the gearbox is that it goes into emergency mode, sometimes immediately when starting up and shifting into D, sometimes I can drive and then suddenly get into emergency mode. Errors appear 4e86 and 4e87 like shift and iter lock. Sometimes they are erased when the box is not in an emergency situation, but when it is in an emergency, they are not erased. I was lucky and they rang from the backstage where the solenoid and plug on the automatic transmission are not broken. We looked like the bushing from the plug to the box that isolates the contact was not sitting well, they put it back in place and the error went away, everything worked correctly, but after 2 weeks it still ended up in an emergency situation again with the same errors. I replaced this bushing with a new one but to no avail. Everyone says change the board and flash it. I wanted to know how much it costs and if it can be done online? I’m also not sure that the original ECU and program are now installed, since below is the story that began after the engine was repaired. You have already seen this post of mine.
And also, can I install an any TCU from 6hp26 from a gasoline model or diesel or should I look for the exact number? ECU from which one I can use since it is difficult to find one from a diesel engine here. Thank you Mine (not sure it is factory one) has numbers BOSCH 0260 550 012 and ZF 6058 007 003 also has this 06-02-09 not sure is it date or??? PS. Launch diagnostic computers do not see the transmission ECU, but AUTEL ista reihngold does. Car BMW E83 2006 3.0d 218 hp engine M57 306D3 wine WBAPD51030WD66806 https://cats.parts/bmw/E83/48818/L:N...3/?vin=Wd66806 You have already seen this post of mine The problem appeared after the engine was repaired. The box went into emergency mode (I think not without the help of the grief experts) and the speeds were not displayed on the screen (P R N D). Next, we replaced the TCU board, which is based on mechatronics, and registered it using a computer. I thought everything was fine, but in the morning I started it and tried it in manual mode, everything works. After some time, the manual mode stopped working. The manual mode always works in the morning, and a little (according to my observations) later, when the engine warms up to about 40 degrees, the manual mode stops working. But it stops strangely, it doesn’t shift the speed up, and down, if you pull the lever towards minus, it decreases, it shows the speed of either 3 or 2, which is what it is at that moment. If I turn on manual mode from a standstill, it turns on 1 but does not switch up further. All this some time after the start of movement. In the cold morning it works both up and down. thank you in advance |
