aux heating question
I have installed a aftermarket radio in my x5 and was wondering if i can still turn on my aux heating. I do not have the key to do this.. I am sure i heard it running last year but i disconected it as i thought it was my battery drain problem. I connected it up today but nothing. Thank you. dave king |

If you have android radio, then ibus-app is your answer: https://www.ibus-app.de/index_en.html

Hey Dave,
The Aux Heater should still run at a cold ambient (below 6DegC.) startup - assuming engine coolant is below ~30DegC. The change of radio should not affect this. It is possible that your IHKA has disabled the aux heater due to a fault code - set when you disconnected the aux heater. You may need to clear the IHKA fault code in order to get it running again. And if you want to be able to start the aux heater remotely, without starting the car, consider adding the remote control outlined here: - https://xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-forums/...start-kit.html
