BMW x5 e53 2004 drivers door won't open from inside or outside

Thanks for the support here and apologies for the delay in updating this thread. Unfortunately my wife fell down a moving-stair escalator and broke her neck a couple of days ago, while she is still able to walk and use her hands and arms this has put a major crimp in my X5 recovery plans. We are both in our 70's and I am her sole carer so my time is limited. I will let you know how the vehicle goes as and when updates are available.

+1. I was horrified to read broken neck but very relieved to see the follow up b walking! The thread will still be here when you get around to car work.

Wow! That's terrible! I hope she heals quickly.
