Anyone recognize this damage???
I just bought the engine (156k mi)and other items from a dismantler outside of Chicago (maybe into WI). Anyway, I'd love to know if VSS have already been done or any history on it. The VIN was difficult to make out on a pic from seller, who is out of country for now. Anyone recognize it as a member likely close to Chicago?

I don't remember anyone posting about it wreck with estoril but I see it has a hitch.....

No worries, I used to daydream of Estoril on an LCI e53 until I GOT one! Unfortunately, it has 185k on it, hence the interest in a spare engine that I can get prepped for swap, when needed.

Yep..., the E53 is a love \ hate relationship for sure, days I love it, days I hate it and days I love to hate it, but I find it nearly impossible to part with... I would park it and buy something else to drive before I ever sold it and foolishly would even consider owning another... Us E53 owners are truly a strange breed of people for sure

OK, forget the damage factor. I grabbed the donor VIN and viewed CARFAX. Accident victim owned since 12/29/21 before total loss on 01/15/21. OUCH! Hope they enjoyed 2 weeks in it. Anyway, looks like prior owner from 2016-2020 registered it in Waterford, MI, then Waukegan, IL during 2021. Any leads from THIS new info??? Thanks!
