Alternator gasket replacement questions on a 04 4.4i

I think I may have a small leak coming from that area and figured I have a CV boot on the drivers side I need to address anyways I pull the trigger and do the alternator gasket as well. Anyways got a few questions:

1: Does anyone know what the torque specs are for the alternator bracket bolts?
2: Do I have to loosen the diff if I opt to remove the engine mount? I believe I’ve read it can be done without removing the engine mount but diff does need to be loosen.

Any additional tips for someone who’s done it would be appreciated.

You can. It's a tight space to work in and you won't be able to torque everything back to spec. Just keep in mind the gaskets on the diff might leak after you put everything back together. You'll also need to remove the front drive shaft in order to rotate the diff.

There are a few videos on youtube, but they're only good for giving you an idea of what needs to be done. No clear viewing angles to really see anything.
Be prepared for it to take a while to do.

Watercooled alternator - I’ve done it on a v12 e38 - M73n. Clean all the surfaces well. I used the Bosch seal from FCPEURO. I did not use any gasket sealant. 1000 miles later, all is good. It’s also a good time to check the tensioner pulleys.
