Started right up with the MAF disconnected. I Also did check fuses and swapped the injector relay but found no issues there.

Next argument - order an expensive MAF or a $25 replacement.

Nice find! Good luck!

Before you order a MAF, make sure there isn't another reason why it's starting and dying. If unplugging the MAF "fixes" it, then it could be a big vacuum leak, for example. Or if there's a short impacting MAF function, a new MAF won't do anything.

My bet is on a vacuum leak...far more common than a bad MAF, though MAF's do go bad.
Look for cracks in intake boots....If none, consider getting a smoke test done...And don't do it yourself with a cigar and a fluid pump...not enough smoke or pressure.

Can your OBDII read live data? Check MAF readings. Plus oxygen sensor and fuel trims.

Unfortunately it does not read live data. I’ll go back over the work and look for anything I missed (vacuum leaks)…. I did take my time (over a month) but I’m old enough and experienced enough to make high quality mistakes.

Grab an ELM327 from Amazon. You can download free or purchase an app to use it. I use DashCommand. It functions like an ODBII scanner. It can reset codes read live data.

An easy glove box scanner to use. I keep one in my glove box.

Update. Car starts and idles now. Still waiting for the scanner.

However, I have gone through all of my connections and fittings… everything looks/feels correct.

I did clean the MAF. And the car will start normally with the MAF connected. However, as I advance engine rpms to ~ 1100, it immediately kills.
