ISO scan of 2001-era Bus Mid Radio Manual

Greetings, Friends,

Deep apologies if this actually already exists on the forum, but my searching thus far has turned up nada.

I have a fixed-up salvage title '01 E53, which like most salvage cars is lacking any and all manuals. I found a pdf for the Owner's Manual and made my own print of it, but I can't for the life of me find a source for the radio manual. It's the so-called "Mid" unit; according to my VIN Decoder sheet it's is an "S661" and "C43". My truck happens to also have both single and 6-disc CD, not sure if there are any additional docs for that or if it's included in the radio manual.

After spending about 30 bucks on color printing my downloaded manual, I found a set on Ebay for (sigh) 30 bucks, and the set includes the radio manual, but now I'm not so crazy about spending another 30 for just the latter.

If anyone knows a source for a digitization of this, I'll be eternally grateful!

Cheers,
Geoff

Thanks, WorkingOnIt, appreciate the reply. It's not the "mid" unit manual I'm looking for, but it might have enough interface commonality with my unit to shed some light on functions. Anybody else have the manual or pdf for the one I'm showing the cover of?

Gracias!
Geoff

Pretty sure I have one in my car - I still have the full manual set that came with the car when new, in the fancy leather glove box "wallet" (like this): -

Will check tonight.

Thanks, Wayne, though before you go to the trouble, judging by the cover photo, the manual with the piano player on the cover is the single-CD Business unit, same as what WorkingOnIt sent...and I need the "Mid" unit manual, which has the cover I screen-grabbed off the ebay listing. Appreciate the thought! And btw I envy your diesel X5! Amazing trailering power! Cheers!

While mine has the same cover, the content is different and is what you are after (I think).

The MID unit is a separate unit from the single CD player above it, despite the images making it look like it's a single unit...

The MID is a simple input (button/knob) and display device - it has no audio functions internally. Operating instructions for the MID appear in TWO separate locations: -

MID BC operation - car owners manual
MID audio operation - radio users manual

MID audio operations will depend somewhat on what radio receiver and other audio devices are attached to the bus but will be similar in most functions/cases.

Instructions for MID radio operation and for both the single CD player and the 6-CD changer are included in the MID audio ("radio") users manual I have.

*edit* and yeah, loving the M57TU diesel! Easier to maintain the I6 petrol, more torque the the V8 and it uses less fuel than either.

Good on ya, Mate!

(as it happens, I can see the Speights brewery from here. )

<hijack> And for this folk that don't know Speights, it's a local beer, famous in the Southern regions down this way.

They are also well known for their TV advertisements - well worth a watch - these are oldies but goodies...
