This is my first X5 but have been driving BMWs since I got my licence. I also have a Land Cruiser in my garage (great for off roading). Later this year I will be trading in the 530i for either a 550i, 650ci or the M5.

This is my 2nd X5, but I doubt that I'll go for another one, unless BMW brings their electronics into the 21st Century. After 30 years of owning nothing but BMW's, Bangle & Co. designs, and dated technology may just push me over to the dark side.

I dont fit any of the categories...I am on my 3rd X5...in less than a year...

1st...2001 X5 3.0...traded it in for a 4.4i
2nd...2001 X5 4.4i...totaled less than 30 days after purchasing
3rd...2002 X5 4.6is...still hanging around and loving it...

My wife has been driving the 4.6is..I am driving the Honda minivan...it hauls giant RC airplanes better than the X5. plus...I still get the X5 when ever I want it. She keeps the miles low because she doesnt drive far...and she knows that if any dings or wheel rash shows up...she will be dropped from X5 status immediately...

My 1st X5 spoiled me for any other. So when I decided to keep a 2nd car on the east coast, it had to be another X5 - 57 more days and counting down.

My first X5, and as long as I am fortunate enough to afford one, I will get a second one. This car is the perfect blend of performance, luxury, safety and practicality. I love it.
