This is where the harness terminates and where you will find the DME, transmission ecu, relays etc.

I think the point was/is that your injector issues are a symptom, not the real problem. Do you have the Bentley manual for the e53? Invaluable for serious work on these things.
Just purchase the software. It needs some getting used to I guess.

Yes, my point was that if you are saying that the injectors have no power because the scanner said that they are "off" then you need to rethink how you are looking at things.

Maybe disconnect the three temperature sensors that you replaced and see what happens.

I've disassembled the whole works! I'm looking at every inch now. Just tested the intake cam shaft sensor. When the plug is out, I get about 4 volts between the signal prong and ground prong, which is what is supposed to be. However when I attach the plug and back probe the same prong, I get 1.2 volts, and it doesn't change at all when I pass a metal close to sensor tip. It's suppose to read between 4 and zero when you pass a metal. Is it possible the sensor got bad during the original work. Someone hinted this earlier in the posting.

Was the battery disconnected? A power surge can hurt sensors. What's the OHM reading?

Do we have a culprit? No OHM at all. The multimeter screen doesn't even blink.
no continuity either of course.
Yes I did disconnect the battery. Reconnecting the battery's negative is literally a stretch with not much control because of its distance to the tailgate where I stand to do the connection to the car body stud. I did have couple of sparks.

We've had a rash of these kind of posts lately. The guy that insisted that there is no way there could be a problem with his RCA cables because it's 2022. The guy who insisted that his A/C pressures were good (and he knows all about air conditioning) without having a gauge on the system (and then says hindsight is 2020!). And now this guy saying that he has no power to his injectors because his scanner told him so and that fuel isn't an issue because he has fuel in the rail (but hasn't put a gauge on it) Where is that line of thinking and attitude coming from? It's somewhat entertaining but frustrating (and a bit scary) at the same time!

We miss the simple stuff on complex systems.

0 ohm =

A scanner would probably show no RPMs. No RPMs, no injector pulses.

People coming here are already frustrated with the issue at hand, throwing salt on the wound doesn't do anybody any good.

0 Ohms would at least mean something. What does no Ohm, screen not blinking mean??
Is that the culprit? Open, short, doesn't have a good connection or doesn't know how to read the meter ??

Are you coming here frustrated after being led down the wrong path at another forum? Is that were the "no power to injectors" came from?
