E53 4.6iS X5 Alcantara seats

I have a 2002 E53 4.6 X5 and it came with nice leather seats with perforated black Alcantara center sections. The lower drivers seat needs new Alcantara and I'm having trouble finding this material. The square holes are about 2mm square and there is about 2mm black between each hole. As you can see in the picture, this Alcantara has a white back up material.
Can anyone please tell me where I can get some of this material. I've tried the dealer and they say it is out of stock with no plans to re-stock
Here's a link to my post on Bimmerforums asking the same question, but it has a picture of my seat. you may have to log in there to see it? .

I would hit up local auto upholstery shops. Not only would they be more likely to find it, but they can make the repair for you...

Try Graham at [email protected].

He’s a BMW guy like us, and if he can’t get it perhaps he can point you to where you can. He’s a regular poster over on bimmerforums as he’s done some very difficult builds. I just got several meters of anthracite uberkaro cloth from him for my X5 seat centers, and previously have bought black M3 headliner from him when I redid my headliner and pillars. Everything had been as promised.

Must be some rare stuff as even the black based domino alcantara has not been produced for several years.

These guys should easily be able to reproduce it. I am having my seats redone once my 4.6 is back from getting the roof and front end resprayed (estoril blue loves to peel) and will use these guys.

same site

This looks like the same site as Henn28 sent me to above.
I talked to Graham there about the material I need and it is just like the black one we see here in your link except instead of the BMW colors, I need a white background under the holes.
Graham said in all his years, that he has only had 2 people ask for this color combination, and one of those two is me. So it is not worth him reproducing what I want.

I'm hoping Graham is sending me a sample of his, then if the hole size and spacing is the same as mine, I will order some, then separate the backing and bond the Black perforated material to a white base......fingers crossed.
Thanks for your posting
