Unhappy Central locking. Only locks after turning the key a couple times

Hey guys i am new here. I always search on this forum to find the answers to my problems, but this problem i cant find anywhere..

The story is i lost my keys so i got new ones and they got learned in so i can start but since then i am having problems with my locking.

The locking button in the center console works and all doors lock.
The key wont work remotely and it wont learn in trough all the steps and trust me i tried enough times and all ways.
But my biggest problem is when i want to lock the car i put the key in my door to manually lock it. And when i turn it it goes on lock and right away it unlocks and after turning the key like 6/9 times it finally locks and stays locked.

I changed the module in the driver door that has the windows button on it.
This didn’t help but also the thing is some times my left rear window goes down on its own and i need to put the child window lock on to put it back up from the driver door.

I explain this all to make the story more clear but I really just want to fix the problem of turning the lock so many times.

thanks already

Did you get a genuine BMW key ? From a dealer?

Don’t use it manual too much. It will likely break.

You need to get a genuine BMW key and program it to lock and unlock your doors..

I did not get a key from bmw. But what is the difference between programming the key for starting and for locking i tought for locking you need to learn it trough the ignition and pushing the key buttons or is there a different kind of programming?

There are two separate learning procedures…one for starting using an Ak90 or similar tool.

Then you need to program the key to open the doors. Using ignition, and pressing buttons, etc.

Please look up the procedure to learn how to lock/unlock. It’s on-line.

What steps have you tried.

Since you are not using a BMW key, there is a chance it won’t work. But the fact that you are able to start the car is a good sign.

I tried the method with ingnition and pressing the buttons that doesn’t at all. I didn’t program the key myself. But yeah like i said i can start it and it does lock but only manually and after 6/9 times. I dont need to turn the key 90 degrees right only 45. I will go back tomorrow to the guys that did my key and look in the programming there. But still its weird then that it does lock after a couple times. I will make a video of it soon.

I did figure out there are different mhz for usa and eu so maybe thats it but then still its the central locking thats not working with the key.

The immobiliser code function and remote control are two different things. The remote function doesn't require any actual coding but just learning alignment with body module. So any working E53 remote can be simply realigned to any E53.
