4.6is 6-speed manual

Hi!

So, I've made some videos of my X5 in snow. More videos will follow.

The car drives perfectly and there were no issues at all so far.

Some driving (sorry for annoying sound of the camera holder):

Actual exhaust sound from outside:

It looks like it is still rear wheel drive.

I know my 4.8 tries to wiggle the ass a little, but you seem to be having a much tougher time than I would just flooring it.

Still an awesome project.

With RWD I would barely move in that conditions. It's 62/38 torque distribution and it always feels like RWD - that was the sense of BMWs AWD since 325xi E30. I like it!

So you finished connecting it all. Nice. You still plan on developing the kit for the 4.8is?

Dude, you drive like a maniac!

We applaud your efforts to complete a 6 speed V8 X5... Just keep it in one piece!

I don't drive like this - that was just to make the video less boring.

I don't understand why you belived it was RWD for some time - it was always AWD since it's first drive as 6-speed manual...

Regarding the further manual tranny conversions - no one seems to be interested in this, the cars getting older and cheaper and peolple don't like to invest more money in E53.

The other thing the guy promised to give his 4.4 N62 X5 for manual conversion changed his mind (as I expected), and I obviously won't buy a car just for the conversion on my cost.

Nevertheless, after completing my 2 current projects - supercharger installation on to X5 and M60 powered Z3 Coupe, I'll sell my M5 E39 and will build an ultimate X5 E53, I've already have a plan and with God's help, by the end of 2013 I'll present my dream car.

I thought so because you can't see the front dig. As a matter of fact I just watched it again, and you can't see the front at all when you take off. Either way I agree, taking off like that rear wheel only would be a miracle.

It's a shame you aren't doing an n62 swap.
