Mine did a similar thing a while back. Turned out to be the front chassis bolts were not tight enough after I had put some new engine mounts in..

Check the torque on the front tension strut bushings. I had a pop on my suspension after replacing everything except these tension struts, and it turned out that one bolt wasn't fully torqued. Ensure the suspension is loaded when you torque any bushings.
