you may have a dirty idle control valve. lots of videos on how to remove and clean to you hear the "rattle"

Yeah, if you have an ISC valve code, it's time to take it out and inspect. I cleaned mine out in my process of trying to solve an unstable idle and occasional dying when idling after the car had warmed up. It wasn't throwing codes, and didn't seem particularly dirty, but cleaning it solved my dying problem at least for the past 2-3 months or so. If you have a code then there must be something up with it.

2003 3.0 stumbles on cold start
I got an icv code. Bought new icv. When I went to install discovered jammed throttle plate. Took the rubber o-ring that came from the MAF and sucked into the throttle plate and returned the icv! Bwahhaahhaa
