random coded key (aftermarket) starting issue

Ok, so I have an issue with a key I coded with AK90 to my 05 3.0d (Australian delivered, not sure if this make a difference).

So i bought the car & only had one key, that i believe to be an original key, so I had one cut & then i coeded to car with AK90.

So the original Key is the type with the charging coil on the PCB & the new key I coded has the indipendant "chip that you glue into the key fob.

So the Key is synced to the central locking & all thise functions work as should, i know this is seperate function to starting.

The issue I am having is it does not start the car consistantly.

So fisrt of all the original key starts the car flawlessly, never an issue, I dont have to turn it a special way or hold in a position for a few seconds to start, it just works as it should. except that the central locking functions are toast due to damage of the surface mount buttons on the PCB, I know these are unrelated to starting.

The key I coded with AK90, the small chip type, it is not consistant with the way it starts the car. So sometimes it will start the car no problem, sometimes you will need to hold in the start position for a few seconds & then will start, sometimes it will just not start the car at all, but then if you start the car with the original key the "new" key will then start the car continuously without any trouble for the next few times atleast.

So i wouldnt have thought it would be iginition switch mech as it works with original key all the time. So maybe it is the strength of the sensor / induction ring on the ignition switch, or maybe the small chip type transponder is not properly compatible with the EWS module version in the car. I cant remember the EWS version in the car & not close to the car to be able get a pic.

I had another aftermarket / ebay coil type / pcb type transponder that i tried to read with ak90 & try code but ak90 read it as "unknown ket type".

hoping someone can assist.
