What is the unused plug on my stereo cables?
Whilst swapping my headunit for an Android, I found this black connector with 3 wires (black, yellow and brown) which wasn't connected to anything.
Any ideas what this is for?

"I think" that is for something that I don't have in my X5 either. FYI it is the same as the power connector for the IHKA but the climate control will not work with it plugged in! I just found that out the hard way changing changing my blower motor and trying to test the new one before putting the dash together.

Funny about the downstream not working. Similarly you cannot lock the driver door if the window switch is removed.
