RockAuto wholesaler closet out

RockAuto is having a close out sale on X5 parts.

I picked up driveshafts, seals, and other replaceable goodies for use last year.

Thanks for the tip!

Anyone know if this front driveshaft is the longer version? I have been wanting to head off this repair in my 2003 when I take things apart to do giubos and subframe bushings soon. Is this an extended driveshaft or is it just the normal one?

CARDONE 657055
Front; with 27.13" (689 mm) Long Driveshaft

Don't think so. One is listed as DORMAN 938322 Length: 29.75"

If your order that one, hit me up for a spacer. I have an unused spacer ordered from Russia. Let's make a deal. Mine has the extended shaft being an '06. I don't need the spacer.

Do you mean a spacer that you weld onto the end of the splines?

The triangle spacer. It only fits the pre-LCR models, right?

Interesting. I don't think I ever saw that. So you reuse your old front driveshaft (or a new one if you prefer) and stick this on the other end so that the splines go in farther? Clever solution. How much would you want for it?

When did they started extending the driveshaft?

Bdc101, sorry. I've been busy working on an '08 Lexus I bought for my mom. Today, it's going on a long drive before delivering it 500 miles away. I'll PM you. Did you read through all the posted spacer threads?

The longer shafts started in '04 or just prior to it. I'm not really sure.

RockAuto parts are flying off the shelf. I was putting together a cart, then parts started to disappear.
