The sap is on a timer if the sound lasts more than 120 sec it's not that but if there's something wrong with the sap valve maybe it's taking too long to close and you're getting a whistle thought the valve seat backwards into the sap.

Do you have to be moving or can you just give throttle maybe you need a helper in the cab

I will test this shortly but from what I remember I have to be driving for it to occur, it's such a small problem but at this point I'm determined with the help of this forum to finally find a solution lol

Yes, you should probably have replaced it already when you changed the air pump.
Does the noise change with electrical load?? lights, htr fan, def on/off ?

no it does not, I ordered a new valve and secondary air injection pump filter as well, so killed two birds with one stone at least I know I need to get those replaced as their quite old

I was reading on other posts that this is a common problem on the inline 6 engines too, whistling noises that are really hard to figure out and seem to be an issue to resolve

I can confirm I can rev the engine around 1.5 rpm and I will get the little whistle while idling in the garage and not moving

Could even be the DISA ??

Yes, I think we have had this whistling thing before but I can't remember what the answer was.

Maybe try pulling the oil cap and see what that does.

Oil cap good idea though. CCV issues can cause excessive vacuum and you'll know when you pull oil cap or dip stick. Car will stumble when you do that part is normal.

remove oil cap and rev the engine to 1.5 rpm to see if the sound still is there?
