N62 VCG Replacement Help
I’m having trouble with removing the driver side valve cover. I’ve tried many different angles and moving different components to create clearance but still am having trouble and ended up breaking a tab on the Eccentric shaft sensor. I think the issue I’m having is my valve cover keeps hitting the clamp for the two heater hoses alongside the left wall which doesn’t allow enough clearance to clear the Eccentric shaft sensor. Does anyone have tips on how to get the cover out?

N62 VCG Replacement Help
You have to move the hoses out of the way. I had similar issue with the AC lines on my N55 cylinder head cover (what bmw calls valve cover).

Thanks for the tip. I realized I messed up leaving the camshaft position sensors in instead of taking them out to provide extra clearance. Lots of lessons learned from this job and can say I now know the ins and outs of a VCG job on a N62.
