Airconditioning pump clutch.....

Just a quick question....

I am trying to remove the my air conditioning clutch from my AC compressor.

There is a bolt in the middle that i need to undo.

My question is, do i undo the bolt in a clock wise motion or anti clockwise motion?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi

Thank you for your link.

This is exactly what i am trying to do to my cars AC compressor.

I have checked all the cables etc and I know that when i switch on the AC the voltage goes to the compressor but the thermal fuse is blown on the clutch.

I have tried really hard to open the middle bolt on the compressor so i can remove the clutch etc.

The issue that i am having is that the clutch spins as i try to open the bolt.

i dont really want to remove the compressor as this is going to take sometime, but if i need to then i guess i will have to do that.

Thanks for your reply.

This guy used a chain strap wrench.
Looking at the parts to remove, removing the compressor makes the job easier.
