I am active with the E46 crowd, and we have a seen a couple of these M3 touring conversions. It appears to me that the car you linked used the less-robust Getrag S5D 250G 5-speed trans that came with the 325i and not the more robust ZF S5D 320Z that came with the 330i. While the 250G will bolt up to the S54, I am not sure it can handle the extra HP or torque. IMO, they should have sourced and used an M3 6-speed manual transmission...but that's just me.
