So, my account password was changed or challenged so many times that it got locked. The self-service password reset function would simply return me to the 'too many attempts' prompts. It was beyond frustrating. I emailed the 'admin@xoutpost' account once a day with a polite notice of my trouble and appreciation for their efforts.
I had lost the email I used when registering (like 2006?). I still own the domain, so I was able to reinitiate the email subscription, change my nameservers and mail servers for the domain, and begin receiving email again. THAT allowed me at *least* to get the password reset emails and to send email from my registered account address. At least I wouldn't be an imposter, right?
Anyway, outside of some time away from the forum and ~$30 in annual renewals for email, I am once again signed in.
