Front drivers door not opening

Hi

I have a weird issue here.

On my bmw e53 x5 3.0 diesel (2004) i recently changed the door carrier and the cable to open the door from the inside.

The issue i was having is that i could not open the drivers door from the outside, unless i yankedthe door handle hard several times, then the door would open.

The drivers door carrier is new and it should not be faulty. I then checked the door actuator mechanisim to see if there is an issue with that.

So, i got a screw driver and pushed it in to the door mechanisim as if i was closing the door. The latch inside came down and it was like i have closed the door.

By putting my hand behind the actuator mechanisim and pulling up in the lever inside i can easily open the door.
I can also open the door from the inside too.

But the issue is when i replace the door card and shut the door, i can only open it a few times before i get to the point where the door cannot be opened from the outside or inside.

Would you say that i have a faulty door carrier? or a faulty actuator, or could the cable from the actuator be stretched etc?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.... As i am getting very fustrated with my car now lol

Thank you
